Breaking Barriers: Exploring Personal Samskaras with Special Guest Nikki Myers

  • SAHAJA S P A C E 2007 Chapel Hill Road Durham, NC, 27707 United States (map)

Saturday + Sunday, August 24-25, 2019, 12-6pm

Codependency has been described as "the addiction to look elsewhere." It's the belief that something outside of ourselves - people, places, things, behaviors, or experiences - will bring us fulfillment and joy.

Join addiction recovery specialist Nikki Myers, MBA, for an experiential workshop based on Yoga of 12-Step Recovery, a holistic model that addresses the physical, mental, and spiritual disease of addiction.

In this weekend workshop, we will use lecture, discussion, experiential exercises and the tools of yoga (including asana, pranayama, meditation and chanting) to:

— Examine the roots of codependency

— Identify personal samskaras, the habit patterns that alter our thinking

— Explore tools for healing through a process of awareness, self-love and creativity

At its heart, codependency has to do with our search for our true selves. When we find our true Self and connect it with some bigger energy or higher power, we are free to relate to others in a way that opens deeply fulfilling relationships with ourselves, others and the Divine.

This workshop is designed for anyone choosing to develop a deeper relationship with self. It is especially ideal for families that are impacted by addiction, and for those in the helping professions, such as yoga teachers, medical professionals, social workers and healers.

Investment: $300/275 early bird if registered by August 1, 2019. Please register by the August 7, 2019 registration deadline.

Thank you for honoring our cancellation policy for this workshop with special out of town guest presenter Nikki Myers. There are no refunds after August 7, 2019. If you must withdraw within the non-refundable window, we encourage you to donate your S P A C E to someone who would otherwise not be able to afford it at this time.
